Free Half-Day Developer Workshops Educate Attendees on Taking Advantage of Multi-Core Processors with Software Pipelines and Concurrent Programming Methodologies
BOULDER, Colo., January 31, 2007 — Rogue Wave Software, a division of Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq: QVDX), whose Software Pipelines methodology helps design for concurrent computing and high-performance business applications, today announced that it is working with Intel Corporation to sponsor a series of free, half-day workshops throughout 2007 aimed at professional developers, senior architects and mid-level managers. The workshops are structured to educate attendees on high-performance service oriented architecture (SOA) application development using Rogue Wave Software's pioneering Software Pipelines and concurrent programming methodologies. Software Pipelines is an architecture that delivers high-performance application components using concurrent processing while maintaining transaction order and other key business requirements.
The educational, hands-on workshops, which will take place throughout the United States and Canada, will focus on how attendees can use Rogue Wave® Hydra and Intel® Threading Building Blocks to solve common developer challenges - such as SOA performance issues and the use of multi-core chip architectures to increase scalability.
"With the accelerated adoption of SOA, cost-effectively scaling high-performance applications without sacrificing flexibility and agility has been a significant challenge," said Cory Isaacson, president of Rogue Wave Software. "Rogue Wave Software and Intel, leaders in concurrent processing and multi-core hardware, have teamed so attendees can learn firsthand how to leverage strategies to significantly improve their businesses results while deploying a SOA."
